The position

The Costing & Pricing Manager is responsible for developing and managing services cost structures and pricing strategies to optimize revenue and profitability. The person will develop global tools & strategy & adapt to each affiliate. This role involves detailed cost analysis, costing & pricing tools developments, market research, and competitive pricing to support the company’s financial goals.

Main responsibilities

  • Develop and implement pricing tools & control mechanisms that align with the company’s financial objectives and market conditions.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and customer demand to inform pricing decisions.
  • Provide Training to sales teams to value sell based on prices & not cost +.
  • Conduct detailed cost and pricing analyses to determine the impact of pricing changes on revenue and profitability.
  • Utilize data analytics and statistical models to forecast the impact of cost and pricing decisions.
  • Perform scenario planning to assess various pricing and cost strategies.
  • Perform market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor pricing, and customer preferences.
  • Develop insights from competitive analysis to inform both costing and pricing strategies.
  • Identify market opportunities and threats, adjusting strategies accordingly.
  • Develop and maintain costing and pricing tools, models, and guidelines to ensure consistency and accuracy in decisions.
  • Provide costing and pricing guidance and support to the sales team during negotiations and proposal development.
  • Prepare and present costing and pricing reports and analyses to senior management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
  • Develop pricing forecasts and budgets, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
  • Ensure costing and pricing strategies and practices comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and enforce costing and pricing policies and procedures to maintain consistency and control.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in costing and pricing management, preferably in the service industry.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
  • Excellent understanding of cost accounting principles, market dynamics, competitive analysis, and customer behavior.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience in financial modeling and forecasting.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex costing and pricing concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence decision-making.
