The position

We are looking for a Method Engineer with a strong Electrical or Electronic Engineering background to take full technical ownership of new product industrialization and transfer activities. In this role, you will be responsible for defining, validating, and optimizing manufacturing methods and processes that enable a seamless transition from product design to volume production.

You will work closely with R&D, design, quality, and sourcing teams, as well as external suppliers, to ensure that products are designed for manufacturability, meet performance and quality requirements, and are ready for efficient serial production.

Main responsibilities

  • Lead the technical scope of industrialization for new products, from early development to production ramp-up.
  • Define and validate manufacturing methods, tools, and test processes to ensure product robustness and process capability.
  • Ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM/DFX) and provide technical feedback to R&D during design phases.
  • Drive process readiness and transfer activities between design, prototyping, and serial production stages.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure process feasibility, technical compliance, and readiness for production transfer.
  • Support technical sourcing activities, including supplier qualification, technical assessments, and capability validation.
  • Prepare and maintain industrial documentation, including process flow, control plans, and validation reports.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by applying Lean and quality methodologies during new product introduction.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (Master’s preferred).
  • 3–5 years’ experience in industrialization, method engineering, or NPI project leadership.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes for electrical/electronic assemblies (e.g., PCB, cabling, testing).
  • Proficiency in DFM/DFX, process validation (e.g., PFMEA, MSA, capability studies), and industrial transfer methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and quality standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and project management skills.
