The position

You will be responsible for safeguarding the physical integrity and health of workers, as well as preserving the natural environment in which our plant operates in Vitoria-Gasteiz. Your duties will include identifying and assessing occupational risks present in the workplace, designing and implementing preventive plans and measures, providing training and awareness to personnel on safety and environmental issues, coordinating internal inspections and audits, investigating incidents and occupational accidents, keeping documentation related to risk prevention updated, and collaborating with competent authorities in safety and environmental matters to ensure regulatory compliance and the application of best practices.

Main responsibilities

  • Advise and support all areas of the company in the context of workplace safety, risk assessments, and the implementation of instructions. Analyze all potential risks detected in the workshop.
  • Monitor and coordinate the functions delegated to the External Prevention Service (EPS).
  • Promote safe behaviors and the proper use of work equipment and protection, and encourage worker interest and cooperation in preventive action by implementing the Occupational Risk Prevention (ORP) Policy.
  • HSE KPIs management. Monitoring and presentation through various communication channels (SQDC, MQR, Teams, etc.).
  • Management of licenses and permits for entry to the electrical test platform.
  • Monitoring and updating legal requirements regarding Safety.
  • Provide support to the company in internal and external audits of ISO45001 and ISO14001 standards.
  • Preparation of annual management system review reports for Occupational Health and Safety (OHS).
  • Participation in the company's Safety and Health Committee. Preparation of minutes and dissemination, up-to-date documentation, action plan monitoring.
  • Monitoring and updating legal requirements regarding the Environment.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • University degree in Senior Technician in Occupational Risk Prevention or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in similar positions, preferably in the industrial sector.
  • Deep knowledge of occupational risk prevention and environmental regulations. Ideally, with an active title as a Safety advisor.
  • Ideally, experience in corporate social responsibility projects.
  • Ability to conduct risk assessments and design prevention plans tailored to the specific needs of the company.
  • Communication skills and ability to deliver training effectively.
  • High level of English (C1).
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team.
