Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering studies and technical evaluations for selected AEG product solutions
  • Develop and support electrical designs in collaboration with the R&D department, including preparation of the required technical documentation
  • Carry out short circuit calculations and simulations using tools such as PSPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, or equivalent software
  • Apply EMC design principles during system and product design
  • Perform lifetime and reliability calculations (MTBF)
  • Prepare and maintain operation and technical documentation
  • Create and maintain electrical designs using EPLAN
  • Interpret and work with mechanical drawings (2D and 3D) in cooperation with mechanical engineering teams
  • Collaborate internally with R&D, Application Engineering, Project Management, and Sales teams
  • Provide technical support to Project Management and Sales, including participation in customer or consultant meetings when required
  • Gather and consolidate all technical information necessary to complete designs in accordance with project schedules
  • Make design decisions supported by engineering calculations and applicable standards for project-specific configuration or customization of standard products
  • Review project specifications and develop the most cost-effective design solution that meets the specification requirements
  • Prepare technical specifications for subcontractors and suppliers for quotation purposes.
  • Compile parts lists and bills of materials (BOM)
  • Identify required components and prepare purchase requisitions
  • Produce technical design information, engineering documentation, and drawings for internal stakeholders and project teams
  • Generate manufacturing drawings and customer-facing documentation as required by project specifications and schedules
  • Ensure all engineering work and documentation comply with NPP standards such as RCC-E or equivalent

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or State-certified Electrical Engineering Technician with relevant professional experience
  • Experience in a comparable industrial role, preferably in: electrical design, power supply systems, power electronics or related industries
  • Practical experience with EPLAN
  • Experience with electrical simulations and calculations (e.g., PSPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar tools)
  • Knowledge of EMC design principles
  • Basic understanding of mechanical design and ability to read 2D/3D mechanical drawings
  • Strong ability to work in cross-functional engineering teams
  • Good command of technical English and German, both written and spoken
